BRCC Announce Signing Of Shaun Delany

Ben Rhydding Cricket Club are delighted to announce the signing of Australian-born English resident Shaun Delany from Old Modernians. Delany is a fast bowler, and was the winner of last season's Wetherby League Division One bowling prize with a bowling average of only 15.46.

In a press conference held yesterday at Coutances Way, Delany made a statement of intent, maintaining his desire to prove that there is still an Aussie in the world capable of bowling straight. He went on to mumble something about shrimps and barbeques.

"Its such a coincidence, I met his grandfather once", said club President Frank Taylor. Taylor has worked in the British judicial system for many years.
